Business Cards

Business Cards
By: Brooke Rivera

Estimated Time: 2.5 hours

I create 3 business cards that fit my identity using Indesign. I used a color schemes that represent nature in all three cards as well as including images of flowers because I love flowers and nature. My logo is in the back of all three cards place in the center big too get people's attention. I decided to keep my business cards simple and clean for people's attention would not get drawn away by too much. My favorite one is the center one cause of the colors I chose. I also like the font I chose for that one. In all three card I tried to pick font that looked good together mostly sticking with cursive fonts and serifs. I am very happy with how my card came out. I love them a lot.

Redone Business Cards

I redid my business cards because I wanted them to be more personalized for me. Therefore, I took out the flowers, which made me look like a florist, and I added my own artworks. I am definitely more happy with the outcome of these cards- I like them a lot more.

Cinemagraph

Cinemagraph
By Brooke Rivera

Est time: 5 hours

This project was a little difficult for me to figure out. I challenged myself by choosing something that swings back and forth. I first took a 15 second video on my iPhone then imported it into photoshop. From there I duplicated the video layer and trimmed it to where it would loop without a huge jump. Then, I created a layer mask on the first video layer and masked out the swinging loop for that was the only thing moving. I had a hard time with the background staying in place because the loop is over mover water which made it a lot harder.
I did like this project a lot tho because it did challenge me and I learned something in photoshop I did not know how to do beforehand. I am pretty satisfied with how it came out. I exported my file as a gif so that it would loop forever.

MEME

MEMES
By: Brooke Rivera

Est time: 1 hour

I used photoshop to create these two memes of myself. First I imported the image into photoshop. Then, I used Impact font to write what I wanted the captions to be. Finally, I went to layers then layer style and selected stroke. I made the stoke go on the outside of the front and set the stroke fill to black and 3.

Day Dreaming / Placing Myself in a Space

Day Dreaming
By: Brooke Rivera

Estimated Time: 1 hour

In this piece I used a picture I took of myself. The first thing I did was make a selection of the top of my head and opened it up. The second thing I did to this pictures was using liquify to drop around the pixels of the photo to make it look like my head is dripping and to make it look like things are pouring out of my head. In addition, I also liquified the background of the photo to make it look trippy. Then, I layered two photos I took of lights and made the opacity low on them for you could see through them, then I created a layer mask on them to erase some of the details I did not want to show in the photo. Finally, I added a "daydreaming" word on the top to add to the aesthetic, I did this by create another layer mask and messing with the opacity. I am very happy with the way the image came out.

Part 2
Placing Myself in a Space
By: Brooke Rivera

Estimated time: 30 Mins

For the image I wanted to place myself in a space I have never been to before, so I chose space. I used an image of myself from a little bit ago. I created a layer mask on it and took away the background only leaving myself in a sitting position. The background in the photo is only the dark sky with the stars in it. The moon is a separate photo. I also created a layer mask on that as well and took away the ground. I also incorporated another image of the planets. I layered in on top on the background and turned down the opacity and created a layer mask on it. Finally, I created a drop shadows on myself to make it look for realistic. I also used the burn tool to make the moon darker on the side where I am sitting on it. I am also very happy with the way this image turned out.

BW to COLOR
By: Brooke Rivera

Estimated time: 10 hours

I chose a photo of myself and put it into photoshop changing it to black and white. From there I used Adobe Color and chose a color scheme. Using only compound, complementary, analogous, monochromatic, shades, and triad color schemes I recolored the photos. In most of my photos I chose to use a low opacity and a doted brush to add creativity to my redesigned images. I used mask layers on most of my photos for the background and the different brushes to do my hair. I played around with the opacity a lot on my face and skin to get the definition of my face details coming through. My photos have a pop art vibe as well as my own style incorporated into them. At the end I put my logo on the images by using a custom brush preset.
